Silver Modified Atraumatic Restorative Technique (SMART) is used for children who are either too young or unable to handle traditional dental fillings or do not need heavier sedation. This technique allows us to halt tooth decay with the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride. At The Kids Dental Practice, we believe in going above and beyond to make your child's trip as incredible as possible. That's why we found SMART Dentistry to be beneficial to providing the best services available and minimizing anxiety for our pediatric patients.
Digital Imaging
Digital Imaging & Radiation Free Carivu
Dr. Capra works only with digital radiography. The advantages of digital radiography are rapid acquisition time, image enhancement, and low radiation. Digital sensors capture detailed x-ray images with a fraction of the exposure found in traditional film x-rays and result in improved treatment results.
Anxious-Free Treatments
Laughing Gas
Nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas," is readily available in our office and provides and anxious-free visit for your child's dental visits. In the mildest form of sedation available, nitrous oxide flows through a comfortable fitting mask that rests gently over your child's nose.

At the end of your treatment, the sedation caused by nitrous oxide dissipates almost immediately eliminating any lasting effects.

Hospital Dentistry
Dr. Capra provides full mouth dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia to patients who qualify. Treatment will be provided at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital with sedation services provided by an anesthesiologist.
